Parenting Assessments and Education

The need for parenting assessments often stems from a referral from a social service agency, during child custody disputes or at times, because a parent(s) has sought out guidance and support for concerns that they may have with their child rearing practices.

Harper Psychological, PLC uses a evidence based assessment tool that analyzes five constructs in parenting practices.  Based on the assessment outcome of these constructs, recommendations can be made on what, if any, interventions would be most successful to improve deficient parenting responses or strengthen appropriate parenting practices.  Parenting education is a common intervention.
